The Canada Express Entry Program/ Federal Skilled Worker Program is an online points- based system used by the Canadian government to organize and process applications for skilled workers who wish to immigrate to Canada and acquire Canadian permanent residence status.
Skilled work experience – A minimum of one year of continuous work experience in the last 10 years in a skilled occupation as per the National Occupational Classification (NOC) job groups:
Language Ability – To prove your proficiency in one of the two official languages of Canada – English or French by taking an approved language test which tests your writing, reading, listening & speaking abilities.
Education – Completed secondary or post-secondary education that is assessed with an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for immigration purposes. An ECA is used to verify that your foreign degree, diploma, or certificate (or other proof of your credential) is valid and equal to a Canadian one.
The following 6 selection factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. A minimum of 67 points are required to be eligible to apply for the Canada Express Entry Program.
